South Ridge partners with America's Grow-A-Row to provide fresh produce to those who don't have access to it due to availability / affordability. Serving opportunities include planting, harvesting, & distributing produce in the spring, summer, and fall of each year at the Jersey City Free Farm Market!
Throughout the year, South Ridge volunteers assist at area churches to house and feed those who are homeless through a partnership with Family Promise of Hunterdon County. Volunteers are needed for multiple shifts that include dinner time, evening, & overnight. Serving roles include: meal prep, hosting, & encouraging. Contact Dave & Cathy Hoos for more info.
Friendship Center for New Beginnings is a non-profit peer counseling & pregnancy resource center in Flemington, NJ. They are committed to helping people make informed decisions about pregnancy, sexual health, & relationships.
Helping Hands desires to connect those who can meet needs with those who have needs. Meeting the needs of single parents, the elderly, those without a family support system, or those going through a time of hardship and difficulty is the focus of Helping Hands.
JOBS FOR LIFE
Jobs for Life (JfL) training is designed to help participants discover God's purpose & plans for their life, related to employment. Each class participant is matched with a Champion, whose goal is to walk with participants in this journey. This class is also designed to connect participants with a network of businesses with the goal of gaining meaningful employment.
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
South Ridge visits two local nursing homes each month on Sunday afternoons: Rolling Hills and Country Arch Nursing Homes, right here in our local community. Your gifts and talents would be more than welcome. Serving roles include: worship members (vocalists & instrumentalists), page turners, teachers, & companions. Contact Rozan Brown for more info.
PROJECT HORSES FOR FORCES
Project Horses for Forces is non-profit organization that operates out of Long Valley, New Jersey and aims to serve military veterans, active service members, and their families by providing opportunities for healing both visible and invisible wounds.
SOUTH RIDGE PRISON MINISTRY
