What is JfL?

JfL is a course that helps participants learn and embrace God's purpose for work, which offers long-term solutions to issues affecting our hearts & communities. Each class has a topic-driven, biblical lesson & group discussion that creates an environment of shared learning & personal development. Every participant is provided with a workbook & professional career assessment to help them explore their career path potential.

How will this benefit me?

JfL helps participants discover God's purpose & plans for their life, related to employment. JfL:

  • Defines goals

  • Identifies roadblocks

  • Defines a path to success

  • Locates jobs through networking

Participants discover how to match interests & skills with a career path that leads to meaningful employment. The promise is that if you engage the journey well, one can expect to leave with a firm foundation & tools for the employment journey.

How do I know if I'm ready?

  • Meet once a week with a matched Champion (mentor)

  • Complete in-class & additional assignments

  • Take a proactive approach for their own learning & participate with in-class discussion
