PURPOSE

PROJECT NEXT STEP provides improvements to SRCC’s facilities. SRCC’s facilities provide a place where we gather to worship, a hub for ministry activity for people of all ages, a connection point with the community, and a launching pad for SRCC’s global ministries.

 

The total cost of PROJECT NEXT STEP is $522,000 and on Sunday, June 27, 2010, the offering during both worship services was devoted toward PROJECT NEXT STEP. The offering goal was $80,000. The result of the offering was $73,000. Since then contributions have continued to be made so that the present giving to the fund is approximately $95,000. All funding given above $80,000 is being utilized for PROJECT NEXT STEP to minimize loan needs for the Activity Center roofing and solar panel project.
 
SRCC’s Elders have been committed to leading by example in contributing to PROJECT NEXT STEP and embrace the following values for the SRCC congregation. Thank you for your willingness to participate and may God’s name be blessed and praised (Psalm 67).

Seasons like this can prompt us to have fresh conversations with God about the resources He has entrusted to us. Ask for the Holy Spirit’s leading in what He would have you contribute.

 

Give as the Holy Spirit Prompts

Listening to God is more important than any “amount given.”  We desire for people to give authentically and cheerfully in response to the Holy Spirit’s work in their life.

 

Trust God in all Things

We trust that as we are guided by the principals above, the amount given will be within the sovereignty of God. We will be thankful to Him and be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us.

PROJECT GROUP #1

Parking Improvements: $48,500 

Parking at SRCC is cramped! Project includes additional row of parking by expanding present parking area and pave parking area presently stoned.

 

Balcony Renovation: $41,000

The SRCC balcony is well used! Project includes new carpeting, quieting the stairs, improving ventilation, and replacing seating.

 

Entrance Improvements: $104,000

The entrance will be welcoming; stumbling into the foyer will be eliminated! Project includes handicapped accessibility eliminating all steps into foyer, porch gathering areas, and improved walkways & parking island.

 

Secure Entrance Access and New Doors: $18,500 Activity Center doors, Office/Nursery doors, and interior office door to receive electronic security locking systems. A new set of doorways at the office/nursery entrance will be installed.

 

PROJECT GROUP #1

 

Activity Center Roof Replacement: $100,000 SRCC’s Activity Center roof has reached the end of its life. SRCC will install a high quality long lasting roofing system.

 

Activity Center Solar Energy: $210,000

While replacing the Activity Center roof, SRCC will install roof-top solar panels. Energy generated will provide power for SRCC and revenue.
